Using Windows Enterprise

!Attention!

Windows Enterprise is not a standalone license; it is merely an upgrade from Windows Pro! Windows Pro is required as the base operating system.

Your license enables an upgrade from Windows Pro to Windows Enterprise.

How do you check if you already have Windows Pro, and what should you do if you don't have a Windows Pro license?

  1. Settings → System → About
  2. Under "Windows specifications," look for the following:
  • Windows 11 Home →
Purchase a Windows 11 Pro license and install it on your device
  • Windows 11 Pro →
You're all set; Windows Enterprise will activate automatically once you sign in to Windows with your account
  • Windows 11 Enterprise →
    Already activated

Important:

The A3 license only activates Windows Enterprise—it does not provide an installation key or an ISO file.

You first install Windows 10/11 Pro, and the Enterprise features are unlocked via your university license.

Here is how to proceed:

Sign in to Windows using your university account:

Settings → Accounts → Access work or school

Check:

Settings → System → About → Windows specifications

If it says "Enterprise" everything is correct.
