Install Citavi and then start it. When you start, a window opens asking for a Citavi account. Please select “Create a new account online”. Another window opens. Click here on “Set up now”.
Now enter your university email address, your chosen password and your name. To finish the step, have a verification code sent to you, enter it and click Check Code. Then place the ticks at the bottom and click create.
After the setup is complete, you can log in to Citavi (PC version).
After registration, old projects may need to be converted and it may be necessary to determine whether log data can be used.
Citavi then opens and at the bottom left is the current Citavi version, e.g. 6.12, and next to it is “License”. This shows that you have now received a license. Clicking on the “License” link opens a window with further license information. The licensing was successful!
